Product Overview
Forid Drain Gel Cleaner is a ready-to-use (RTU) drain cleaner that removes fly-attracting grease and grime from drain pipes. When the drain gel is poured around and down the drain, it eliminates the flies' food source, causing them to leave. It is an organic product that is 100% guaranteed to clean drains and remove drain flies.
Forid Drain Gel Cleaner, manufactured by Solutions Pest and Lawn, is an organic drain gel cleaner that uses a bacterial formulation, also called a Microbial Grease Degrader (MGD), to break down grease and other organic materials that can accumulate in drain pipes.
This ready-to-use product controls drain flies, phorid flies, and fruit flies harboring in your drains. Drain flies live, breed in drainage pipes, and feed on the decaying matter that gets left behind over time. When poured down a drain, the Forid Drain Gel Cleaner helps control flies attracted to dirty drains.
If you frequently see flies gathering around your sinks and drains, the Forid Drain Gel Cleaner can remove the fly invasion and unclog your sink of all the gunk and buildup that attracts them.
Tools needed
Forid Drain Gel Cleaner is ready-to-use and requires no additional tools. It comes in an easy-to-use tip-and-measure bottle. Tip the bottle over to fill the reservoir, then tip the bottle back and use the diagonal lines to measure until you have the required amount. We also recommend wearing gloves as you use this product.
How to Use
- Step 1: To use Forid Drain Gel Cleaner, identify which drains have fly activity. If you can't do this, you will need to treat all drains in the house. For drains that are not frequently used, let 1 to 2 gallons of warm water flow through the drain before application. Apply Forid at a rate of 4 fl. oz. per drain.
- Step 2: Pour Forid evenly around the lip of the drain so it coats and runs down the sides. Repeat this process daily for 5 to 7 days. Apply this product when the drains are not used for an extended time, like at the end of the day or overnight.
- Step 3: After application, Forid begins to break down the organic buildup inside the drain and will rinse away once the drain is used. Forid does not kill flies. Instead, it breaks down and removes their breeding grounds and food supply. Once the flies have nowhere to live or breed, they will leave the area. To prevent flies from returning, apply 4 fl. oz. of product per drain every 1 to 2 weeks.
Where to use
Forid Drain Gel Cleaner can be used in residential and commercial kitchens, restrooms, and other areas where drains are present. It can be used in floor and bathtub drains in homes, restaurants, hotels, gyms, and any place where drain flies are a nuisance.
When to use
Forid can be used whenever drain flies or activity are noticed. Most activity is observed after the temperature warms for spring and until it cools for winter. This product can also be used to keep drains clean before infestation can occur.
You should apply it once every 1 to 2 weeks after the initial treatment.
Safety Information:
Forid Drain Gel Cleaner is safe when used according to the label directions. It is non-toxic and won't harm your plumbing or garbage disposal.
Special Considerations:
If you cannot determine which drains are infested with flies, it is best to cover all bases and treat every drain in the house. Depending on how far down the flies are inhabiting, it may take several applications until you completely get rid of all the drain flies.
If necessary, the Forid Drain Gel Cleaner is also labeled to be used in non-drain areas and in foaming applications.
