A 1.6 oz packet of Merit 75 WSP Insecticide (Imidacloprid) makes varying amounts of solution depending on the target: it can treat large areas like 300 gallons for ornamentals or up to 11,000 sq. ft. for turf, requiring 1.6 oz (1 packet) in a large water volume for thorough coverage, though the packet is water-soluble and used in spray volumes from 10 gallons up to 300+ gallons for general use.

One 1.6 oz packet of Merit 75 WSP makes a variable amount of finished solution depending on the intended application:

Foliar Spray (Trees & Ornamentals): One packet makes 300 gallons of finished spray.

Turfgrass Broadcast Spray: One packet is typically mixed with at least 2 gallons of water to cover 8,250 to 11,000 square feet.

Soil Drench/Injection: One packet is typically diluted in at least 10 gallons of water for systemic treatment of trees or shrubs.

The total yield for an entire envelope (which contains four 1.6 oz packets) is often advertised as making 1,200 gallons of foliar spray.

Outdoor ornamentals will use 1.6 oz. (1 packet) of product per 300 gallons of water or 1.6 oz. of product per 8,250 to 11,000 sq. ft. Broadcast applications to outdoor ornamentals should not use less than 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.
